At last Friday's SILVAR Palo Alto District Tour Meeting, the Silicon Valley REALTORS® Charitable Foundation presented a grant of $2,500 to Community Association for Rehabilitation (C.A.R.). The check was presented by Palo Alto District Chair-elect Nadr Essabhoy to Imogene Chancellor, a C.A.R. board director.

In the past two years, grants received by Community Association for Rehabilitation from the Silicon Valley REALTORS® Charitable Foundation have been used for providing critical intervention services to at-risk infants in the Bay Area and funding the salary a Spanish-speaking interpreter.

Essabhoy said this year, the Charitable Foundation is proud to again be of assistance to C.A.R. and the important work of its Infant Development Program. The grant of $2,500 will be used to support the services of a psychologist in the program. These services will help parents in crisis to help the cope with the challenges of raising an infant who has a disability.

C.A.R. is located in Palo Alto and assists the developmentally and otherwise disabled population in Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties. The Infant Development Program provides early intervention services to more than 150 high-risk infants from birth to three years old.

On behalf of the Charitable Foundation, Essabhoy thanked all the Realtors and affiliates who made donations to the Foundation. "You make it possible to assist those who do this important work in our community," he said.

This donation by the Charitable Foundation Trust has been made possible in part by sponsorship from Red Hawk Real Estate.
