SILVAR's Cupertino/Santa Clara/Sunnyvale District, through the Silicon Valley REALTORS® Charitable Foundation, donated $500 to the Cupertino Education Endowment Foundation (CEEF) at the District's February 8 meeting.

Eleanor Watanabe, executive director of CEEF, accepted the award from Cupertino District Council Chair Carolyn Miller and SILVAR President Mark Burns.
Watanabe thanked Realtors and affiliates for supporting the Foundation, acknowledging by name a number of Realtors who have backed CEEF. She noted the Cupertino Union School District continues to be exceptional and a desirable school district for home buyers.

She told SILVAR members the Cupertino Union School District relies on CEEF funding to keep vital educational programs alive and introduce new, innovative projects the district could not otherwise afford. CEEF supports fundraising efforts in the district by providing training and networking opportunities to help all schools maximize their fundraising potential.

Watanabe said the $500 donation will be applied toward CEEF's upcoming Community Arts & Technology Festival, which will be held on Saturday, April 28, at Miller Middle School. The Technology Expo will feature a series of interactive displays to help students understand how everyday technologies work in architectural design, communication, education, entertainment, healthcare, manufacturing and transportation. The Performing Arts Festival will showcase the talent of the district's directors, bands, orchestras, choir, instrumentalists and dancers. This year, the event will add a student independent film festival and demonstration of outstanding math and science student projects.
