President

Leannah, who has twenty years of experience as a residential specialist, is in the top one percent of Coldwell Banker agents throughout the nation. She is the current President of SILVAR and has been a member of the SILVAR Board of Directors for the past 11 years. She is a Previews Property Specialist for the higher end properties in the Mid-Peninsula area, is a Certified Negotiation Specialist and holds the E-Marketing Specialist Designation. Leannah has served on the Palo Alto District Council, and as a state Director for the California Association of REALTORS®. Selected as a Realtor of the Year by both SILVAR and the Palo Alto District, she is an expert in the Palo Alto area and respected by her peers.

President Elect

Julia Truesdale Keady has been an active top producing real estate agent on the SF mid peninsula since 1985.  She has enjoyed volunteering within the general community holding a variety of positions working for Fair Housing, Human Services and Homelessness.  Over the years she has worked within her industry leadership in the development of Standard Forms as Director of her local Board and now as Chair of the Palo Alto District of SilVAR.  Julia is happy to serve her colleagues as a C.A.R. Director and looks forward to a wonderful year.

Past President

Mark Burns has 20+ years of sales as a top producing agent in Silicon Valley. He has served on the board of directors for SILVAR for more than 10 years. He has served as SILVAR PAC President and is a current trustee for the board. Mark has served in the past and will continue in 2007 to serve as a director for the California Association of Realtors® as well as a being a delegate to the National Association  of Realtors®. He will serve as a shareholder representing SILVAR at RE Infolink (regional MLS) in 2007. Mark has also served in his community by being a 13-year director on the Board for the Cupertino Chamber of Commerce as well as serving as their President. He has also served as CFO for the Pacific Autism Center for Education in Sunnyvale. Mark has also served as Co-Chair for the Housing Opportunities Committee, served on the Membership Committee, the Tour Policy and Sign Ordinance Committee, Chair of Local District Council, and has hosted as Tour Captain the Cupertino-Sunnyvale-Santa Clara tour for 17 years. Mark was selected as Realtor® of the Year for 2005 for the Silicon Valley Association of Realtors® and has received the SILVAR Community Leadership Award twice for his charitable work in the West Valley area. Mark is a San Jose native and continues to donate much of his spare time and contribute to local service organizations.

Region 9 Chair

John Tripp's professional career has been entirely in real estate. He is a member of Santa Clara Housing Bond Trust Fund subcommittee for the analysis of applications for loans and grants. He is involved in arbitration, mediation and negotiations concerning real estate issues. His business practice includes real estate advisory for pension plans, IRA accounts and estate management. He has served as an Officer, Director, or Chairperson several times and has been selected as Realtor of the Year twice.

Gerry Lawrence has been a real estate practitioner and investor since 1971. He has served as a member of the SILVAR Budget and Finance Committee and as a board director of the Silicon Valley Realtors Charitable Foundation. He is also a director for the ALTA California Eye Research Foundation and for PACE, Pacific Autism Center for Education.

Josie has been a licensed REALTOR® for eight years and during that time has been active in many aspects of leadership within the Silicon Valley Association of REALTORS®. She has served both as a C.A.R. Director and SILVAR Board Director, on her local District Council (Los Altos/ Mountain View) both as Co-Chair and Member at Large. As a SILVAR Director she is active in over a dozen Association leadership roles. She is currently Co-Chair of the Membership Committee (2005 & 2006), part of the RSVP Leadership Team and also finds time to serve on several other key committees. When she received the "The Sprit of SILVAR" Award at the Installation Dinner, January 2006, Josie expressed her belief in commitment both to SILVAR, her community and to those she serves as a Real Estate Professional and proud REALTOR®. As a former educator, she has put her teaching skills to good use by educating new licensees and mentoring of new REALTORS®.

David Hunt has actively been involved as a Director with the Silicon Valley Association of Realtors (SILVAR) for the past six years. David is a past chair of the Cupertino, Sunnyvale and Santa Clara District Council. He has also served as SiLVAR's Chair of the Housing Opportunity Committee and is a member of the Tour and Sign Ordinance Policy Committee. David has also been a State Director with the California Association of Realtors (C.A.R.) for the past six years. He has served on various C.A.R. Committees which include: Property Management, Common Interest Development, Equal Opportunity/Cultural Diversity and the Housing Opportunity Committee. David is also an active member of the Sunnyvale Chamber of Commerce, and the Housing Industry Foundation (HIF), a non-profit charity foundation.

Susan Tilling has been a Realtor for over 33 years. As a director of the National Association of Realtors since 1996, her focus has been on public policy issues, particularly taxation, land use and environment, and private property rights.. Susan has been a director of the California Association of Realtors since 1992 and has participated in the leadership of the Taxation and Federal Issues committees. On the local level, she has served on the Silicon Valley Association of Realtors Board of Directors for close to a decade. Susan was President of the former Menlo Park-Atherton Board of Realtors and was named Realtor of the Year in 1997. As a broker associate with CRS, GRI, and SRES designations, as well as a Master's degree, Susan has been selling real estate since before her hair turned gray!
