Julia Truesdale Keady has been an active top producing real estate agent on the SF mid peninsula since 1985. She has enjoyed volunteering within the general community holding a variety of positions working for Fair Housing, Human Services and Homelessness. Over the years she has worked within her industry as a leader in the development of Standard Forms and as a Director for SilVAR. She served in 2007 as Chair of the Palo Alto District of SilVAR. Julia is happy to serve her colleagues as a C.A.R. Director and looks forward to a wonderful year serving as SilVAR’s 2009 President.

Region 9 Chair

Leannah, who has twenty years of experience as a residential specialist, is in the top one percent of Coldwell Banker agents throughout the nation. She was President of SILVAR in 2008 and has been a member of the SILVAR Board of Directors for the past 11 years. She is a Previews Property Specialist for the higher end properties in the Mid-Peninsula area, is a Certified Negotiation Specialist and holds the E-Marketing Specialist Designation. Leannah has served on the Palo Alto District Council, and as a state Director for the California Association of REALTORS®. Selected as a Realtor of the Year by both SILVAR and the Palo Alto District, she is an expert in the Palo Alto area and respected by her peers.

Gerry Lawrence has been a real estate practitioner and investor since 1971. He has served as a member of the SILVAR Budget and Finance Committee and as a board director of the Silicon Valley Realtors Charitable Foundation. He is also a director for the ALTA California Eye Research Foundation and for PACE, Pacific Autism Center for Education.

Jeff Barnett's professional real estate career began in the late 1980s at Fox & Carskadon and thereafter joined Alain Pinel Realtors Realtors in 1991 as one of its original sales agents. His astute knowledge of the business, marketing savvy and energy quickly earned him a top spot in the emerging company. While honing his skills as a trouble-shooter and deal maker in the heart of the Silicon Valley, Jeff created the Alain Pinel´s Masters program for working agents and people new to the business of residential real estate. He taught the course work for two years, which led to Jeff´s transition from a highly successful sales agent to Vice President/manager of the Los Gatos office. The first Los Gatos grew steadily until a second office was added in 2000 to accommodate the branch´s expansion. Jeff frequently teaches newly licensed sales professionals presentations skills and is very active in the California Association of Realtors and National Association of Realtors. Jeff is now Regional Manager/Vice President of Alain Pinel Realtors.

Cupertino/Sunnyvale District Chair

Mark Burns has 23+ years of experience as a top producing agent in Silicon Valley. Mark is a Coldwell Banker Premier Agent, designated as Top 2% in sales worldwide. A Saratoga native and product of Cupertino Schools; he has served on the board of directors for SILVAR for more than 12 years. He has served as SILVAR PAC President and is a current Trustee. Mark has served in the past and will continue in 2009 as a director for the California Association of Realtors®. He is the current Regional Chair for the entire District 9 for CAR (which includes the Silicon Valley Association of Realtors®). Mark is the President of PRDS -  Contracts and Forms for Silicon Valley Real Estate, our association’s online and printed documents subsidiary. Mark has also served in his community by being a 13-year director on the Board for the Cupertino Chamber of Commerce as well as serving as their President. He currently serves as the Chair for the Independent Citizen’s Oversight Committee for Measure B – the $198 Million Bond Measure to improve High Schools in the Fremont Union High School District. He has also served as CFO for the Pacific Autism Center for Education in Sunnyvale. Mark is celebrating his 22nd year as a member of Cupertino Rotary. Mark has served as Co-Chair for the Housing Opportunities Committee, served on the Membership Committee, the Tour Policy and Sign Ordinance Committee, Budget and Finance Committee, Chair of Local District Council, and has hosted the weekly breakfast and tour meeting as Director for the Cupertino-Sunnyvale-Santa Clara tour for 21+ years. Mark was selected as Realtor® of the Year for 2005 for the Silicon Valley Association of Realtors® and has received the SILVAR Community Leadership Award twice for his charitable work in the West Valley area.

John Tripp's professional career has been entirely in real estate. He is a member of Santa Clara Housing Bond Trust Fund subcommittee for the analysis of applications for loans and grants. He is involved in arbitration, mediation and negotiations concerning real estate issues. His business practice includes real estate advisory for pension plans, IRA accounts and estate management. He has served as an Officer, Director, or Chairperson several times and has been selected as Realtor of the Year twice.

Dave began his real estate career in 1988 and is currently the Managing Broker of his office. He also serves on a number of committees on the local and state levels. Dave is in his 3rd year as a SILVAR Director and 2nd year as a C.A.R. Director. Besides serving as the District Chair for the Los Gatos/Saratoga district in 2005, he was on the Forum On Forms, Risk Management and Membership Committees. He continues to serve on the Risk Management/Consumer Protection Committee, in addition to the MLS/Computer & Business Technology Committee. Dave is also the Regional Representative on Professional Standards and currently chairs the Broker/Manager Committee on the local level.
