Cupertino, CA -- For senior homeowners or renters who are physically or financially challenged, tasks like replacing smoke detector batteries, flipping a mattress or washing windows can be a major chore. Seniors and the homebound residing on the Peninsula and in the South Bay may request free assistance with these household tasks through the REALTOR(R) Service Volunteer Program (RSVP) during the week of May 6-10. The deadline for seniors to apply for assistance is Friday, March 15.

Silicon Valley REALTORS(R) recently shared their ideas and insights on the future of real estate at a National Association of REALTORS(R) REThink Initiative Workshop held at the Tech Mart in Santa Clara. MLSListings Inc. hosted the workshop, which included 125 REALTORS(R) who do business in Santa Clara and San Mateo counties.

This week, for the 12th consecutive year, volunteers from SILVAR lent a helping hand to seniors and the homebound in their communities through SILVAR's REALTOR(R) Service Volunteer Program (RSVP). The seniors, who ranged in age from their early 60s to 100 years old, were more than grateful for the help they received.
