$2,000 SILVAR Charitable Foundation Grant to Community School of Music and Arts in Mountain View

Cupertino, CA - The Silicon Valley REALTORS® Charitable Foundation presented a $2,000 grant to the Community School of Music and Arts in Mountain View at the Feb. 29th Silicon Valley Association of REALTORS® (SILVAR) Los Altos/Mountain View District tour meeting held at Oregano's in Los Altos.
2008 Charitable Foundation President Cammie Brodie presented the grant to CSMA Development Director Kelly Hudson. Brodie told SILVAR members the grant will be used to support Adventures in Art and Adventures in Music, which are bi-lingual visual art and music classes for 105 pre-school children who are native Spanish speakers. The students are from the Head Start and Even Start Pre-School programs, which exist in low-income areas to give immigrant children a strong beginning in their education.
Thanking SILVAR members for their donation to the school, Hudson said the weekly activities build a solid foundation in art and music, foster creative expression, and prepare preschoolers for success in kindergarten and beyond.
