Third Annual Bay Area Multi-Cultural Real Estate Summit Will Feature Classes, Legal, Tax, Escrow, Top Producers Panels on September 28

Sign up now for the Third Annual Bay Area Multi-Cultural Real Estate Summit (BAMCRES) on Monday, September 28, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Computer History Museum, 1401 N. Shoreline Blvd. in Mountain View.

In line with the theme “Faces and Voices of Bay Area Real Estate,” the summit will offer morning and afternoon education sessions, a buffet luncheon in which SILVAR President Julia Truesdale Keady and 2009 BAMCRES Chair Karl Lee of the Santa Clara County Association of REALTORS® will give welcoming remarks, and keynote speaker California Department of Real Estate Commissioner Jeff Davi will update real estate professionals and service providers on the latest news in the industry.

Cost of the summit, which includes choice of a one morning and one afternoon class, along with a buffet lunch, top producers panel and a networking reception in the afternoon is $20 per person in advance; $25 at the door. This year’s sessions include:
• Transnational Referral Certification class (FREE), taught by National Association of REALTORS® instructor Fanny Chu. NAR members may obtain certification at a one-time discount price of $85. You MUST be a REALTOR® and present NRDS number to obtain certification.

• Legal Dos and Don’ts in Today’s Market, with Dave Hamerslough (Rossi, Hamerslough, Reischl & Chuck), Victoria Naidorf (NRT Inc.), and Scott Okamoto (Sedgwick, Detert, Moran & Arnold, LLP).

• 203k Renovation Training – Short Sales Seminar featuring “The Renovation Lending REMODEL EXPRESS” by John Sway, Wells Fargo Home Mortgage Vice President, Division Renovation Manager, and “Wachovia Short Sale Seminar” by Diana Stauffer, Wachovia Short Sales Specialist.

• Tax Laws Relating to the Real Estate Profession, with tax attorney Arthur Rugama, CPAs Jerry Mays, Miguel Palma and John Wong (Wong & Chin, CPAs)

• Challenging Escrows, with Nancy Chan (First American), Mary Dickerson (Chicago Title Cupertino branch manager), Rosa Hernandez (Fidelity National Title Evergreen branch), Annette Ross (North American Title) and Fawn Vinh (Old Republic Title Cupertino branch).

BAMCRES 2009 is being organized by 15 real estate associations - the Asian Real Estate Association of East Bay, Chinese American Real Estate Association, Chinese Real Estate Association of America, Filipino American Real Estate Professionals Association – SF/Peninsula chapter, Alameda County chapter and Santa Clara County chapter; National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals of San Francisco and Silicon Valley, South Asian Real Estate Association of America, including six REALTOR® associations -  Bay East Association of REALTORS®, California Association of REALTORS®, San Francisco Association of REALTORS®, San Mateo County Association of REALTORS®, Santa Clara County Association of REALTORS® and SILVAR. Wells Fargo Home Mortgage is partnering with the associations in this event.
