Year of the Metal Rat Will Bring Love, Romance, Health Issues, Unusual Disasters
If the Earth Pig is fun, loving and naive, the Metal Rat is just the opposite. At SILVAR's Lunar New Year Celebration yesterday, members learned how the Year of the Metal Rat can impact everyone in their daily life from renowned fortune teller and feng shui master Y.C. Sun.
Sun said the Metal Rat is intelligent, militant, combative, passionate and can be very aggressive when supporting political and social causes. The Rat also loves his family. Expect positive energy in the form of fights for justice, economic inequality, standing up to protect one's own security and interests. This is a happy time for love, romance, marriage. Negative energy will come in the form of violent confrontation, riots, more government control, hate crime, domestic violence.
In demand jobs this year will be artificial intelligence (AI) workforce, software developer, data scientist, statistician, health care, nurse, physician, priest, farmer, civil engineer, athlete, lawyer, entertainer, film director, and jobs in sex-related products and services.
Beware of health issues caused by the Metal Rat, like lung, flu, sleep disorders, headache, falling, neck, stroke, kidney, large intestine, respiratory disease, asthma, nose, urinary, venereal disease, reproductive system.
Rain, snowstorms, hurricanes can lead to more floods, landslides, mudslides, avalanches, fires, and traffic accidents. Shipwrecks, air disasters, gas explosions, chemical fuel/oil fires, poison gas disaster, earthquakes, tsunamis. Be careful in June (especially from June 6 through July 6). It is a disaster-ridden month.
Sun said one can predict the future with the 60-year cycle of the Chinese Zodiac of 12 Animals. For 2020, look back at 1960, 1900, 1840 and 1780 - 1960 when the U.S. entered the Vietnam war by sending the first troops of 3,500 American soldiers to Vietnam; 1780, the American Revolutionary War; 1840, the First Opium War; and 1900, the Boxer Rebellion.
"It's like a remake of an old movie, with the same story but new players ina different generation," Sun remarked.
Sun said the economy should finish strong in 2020, with more incoming investment, better trade deals, and solid profits from AI applications, robotics, facial recognition, blockchain technology, and global 5G roll-out activities. Rising wages, low unemployment and interest rates will support demand for home buying. Millennials will buy their first homes. Except for the East Coast, the real estate market should remain steady with slower price growth. The stock market will fall at the end of the year, but it will also be an opportunity to buy low.
As for the feng shui effect in 2020, good locations are the northwest, west, southwest, northeast, southeast. Bad locations are the east, south, north, center/middle. The Disaster Star resides at the East. Sun predicts the east locations will experience disease, war, conflict, bad accidents, disaster events, or misfortune.
The Northeast promotes romance, or family values. The South location will experience health challenges with lungs, flu, virus, skin, stomach, blood pressure, sleeping disorders, etc. The North will experience scandals, conflicts, or relationship. The Southwest will provide the best energy for writing, study, product development. The Northwest will receive excellent energy to gain money, buy property, romance. The Happy star visits the West providing joyful moments, marriage, pregnancy.
If your home is facing a not so good location, there are remedies. For the East, use a copper Tibetan feng shui bell or six metal rod wind chime; South, use copper bell, wind chime with six bars, or copper coins; North, use red color décor; Center/Middle, use glass of water or blue color décor.
Sun cautioned these general predictions should be viewed with a discriminating eye and an open mind. A more accurate prediction can be achieved by the detail analysis of the combined energy from a person's birthdate, birth time, and birthplace.
