The Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS) elective course on The Americas & International Real Estate was held on Tuesday. The course, taught by Christel Silver, provided practical information on working with clients from the Caribbean, North, Central, and South American, including historical and cultural influences, regional relationship, and investment opportunities. Sponsor of the Day, Chenay Jordan, International Referral Network Director with ECI Development, spoke on how REALTORS® can bring value to an outbound global transaction, with special emphasis on Central America.
The CIPS designation courses provide training in international business issues, including currency conversion, cultural awareness, legal and tax requirements, transaction principles of international real estate, and specifics about the real estate markets in Europe, the Americas, and Asia.
The next CIPS course on Asia/Pacific & International Real Estate is on June 7, Tuesday, with instructor Fanny Chu. Tuesday, May 24, is the last day to avail of the early bird discount of $100 for this course. Regular price is $150. CIPS designess may audit the course for $30.
