SILVAR Concludes 8th CIPS Institute
SILVAR's 8th Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS) Institute concluded today with 11 REALTORS® attending the full week of classes. Most of the students in the class are SILVAR REALTORS® or from neighboring REALTOR® associations in the Bay Area. SILVAR has offered the CIPS Institute every year since 2012.
The CIPS Institute provides training in international business issues, including currency conversion, cultural awareness, legal and tax requirements, transaction principles of international real estate, and specifics about the real estate markets in Europe, the Americas, and Asia. After completing five courses and other requirements, REALTORS® earn the prestigious CIPS designation. There are about 3,250 CIPS designees in the U.S.
This year's classes were taught by Bobbi Decker, CIPS, SRES, CRS, GRI, CLHMS, SRS, ABR. A REALTOR® and broker associate, Decker is a NAR REBAC instructor who teaches advanced designation and certification courses.
