The Silicon Valley Association of Realtors congratulated the 2025 president and board of the directors of the Asian Real Estate Association of America Silicon Valley (AREAA SV) chapter at their installation held last Friday at Sonesta San Jose in Milpitas. Representing the local trade association at the event were President Tammie Peters, President-elect Stacey Woods, and board director Sunita Merchia. Merchia was installed as a 2025 AREAA SV board director.
NBC Bay Area News television journalist and reporter Robert Handa served as master of ceremonies. AREAA National President Jamie Tian administered the oath of office to the 2025 board of directors.
AREAA SV's 2025 president is Phoenix Chiang, a Realtor with RealiFi Realty. Chiang has 16 years of extensive business development and entrepreneurial experience with primary focus on real estate, new business generation, marketing strategy, and client negotiations. Chiang is recognized for her leadership, problem-solving skills, and extensive network. She holds a bachelor's degree in speech and communication studies from San Francisco State University and a master's degree in applied behavior analysis from Arizona State University.
Joining Chiang as part of the group's 2025 executive board are Thomas Feng (Bay Area Connect), vice president; Justin Chan (RealiFi Realty), secretary; Chan Ly, treasurer; and Viral Vora (City National Bank), immediate past president. Serving on the board of directors are Eric Chu (Intero), Francis Lopez (DeLeon Realty), Nirmalya Modak (Golden Credit Union), Pareshkumar Patel (Blue24), Steven Diec (Chase), Merchia (Merchia Realty), and Billy Guan (Arkshire Financial). 2025 Board of Advisors include Anna Truong Lopez (Meriwest Credit Union), Hilda Ramierz (Keller Williams Silicon City), Atsuko Yube (Golden Estate Link and eXp Commercial Brokerage), and Daniel Wong (Presidio group).
In her message to members and guests, Chiang said, "Over the years, I have gained invaluable knowledge and connections through the people I've met and the experiences we've shared. This deep appreciation for our organization is what inspired me to step into the role of president for 2025. My goal is to create meaningful events and networking opportunities that support the growth and success of our members in the business."
Peters congratulated Chiang on behalf of SILVAR. She reaffirmed the local Realtor association's support for the group and praised AREAA's active role in advocating for homeownership for the Asian American community. "We commend your work in bringing the Asian American communities together and helping families achieve the American dream of homeownership. We look forward to continue serving as a resource for you and your members."
AREAA is a professional trade organization dedicated to promoting sustainable homeownership opportunities in Asian American communities.
