Silicon Valley REALTORS® Charitable Foundation Awards Scholarships to 18 Local Students
As students return to school, the Silicon Valley REALTORS® Charitable Foundation recently concluded its 27th annual Scholars Program. This year, 18 graduates from public high schools across Silicon Valley received scholarships to attend four-year colleges.
This program is sponsored by the Charitable Foundation Trust of the Silicon Valley Association of REALTORS® (SILVAR), a professional trade organization representing nearly 5,000 REALTORS® and affiliate members engaged in the real estate business on the Peninsula and in the South Bay.
Through a long-standing collaboration between the Silicon Valley REALTORS® Charitable Foundation and 18 local public high schools, the Silicon Valley REALTORS® Scholars Program recognizes outstanding student achievement. Within SILVAR's primary service region, school faculty and principals nominate three exceptional graduating seniors per campus. A joint committee including SILVAR representatives then selects the single scholarship recipient for each school.
Every year, the Silicon Valley REALTORS® Scholars Program awards a $1,500 scholarship to one nominee from each school in recognition of their exemplary record, outstanding academic performance and community spirit. Since its start the program has awarded nearly $545,000 to graduating high school seniors in Silicon Valley.
"The housing market of Silicon Valley has consistently held the reputation of being extremely competitive and a lot of that is due to the area's exceptional public schools," said Silicon Valley REALTORS® Charitable Foundation Scholars Program Chair Nina Yamaguchi. "This program represents a lasting dedication to our youth and the community. It is our way of expressing deep gratitude to the students and educators who work diligently to ensure our local schools remain among the finest in the state and country."
This year's scholarship recipients are: Zeynep Ogul (Leigh High School); Amy Tang (Lynbrook High School); Quinn Corbett (Westmont High School); Judith Primitivo Lopez (Fremont High School); Allison Ding (Los Altos High School); Pravin Balasingam (Los Gatos High School); Xiwen Liang (Gunn High School); Katherine Nelson (Palo Alto High School); Alessandra Hartwig (Menlo-Atherton High School); Evelyn Vu (Santa Clara High School); Alon Liubovitch (Wilcox High School); Albert Zhang (Cupertino High School), Noa Gold (Homestead High School); Lindsey Niu (Monta Vista High School); Ethan Li (Prospect High School); Amy Miao (Saratoga High School); Sophia Zhang (Mountain View High School); and Emely Pereira (Woodside High School).
"We are deeply honored to award these students and support them as they start their college journey," Yamaguchi continued.
Information about next year's program, including scholarship requirements and applications, will be available starting in early 2027. Students and families from any of the 18 listed schools can contact their respective high school's counselor or college planning advisor.
