The current economic climate is uniquely challenging for REALTORS®, and to help them meet their clients' needs and succeed in today's economy, the National Association of REALTORS® has introduced the "Right Tools Right Now" initiative. According to Julia Truesdale Keady, president of the Silicon Valley Association of REALTORS®, "Right Tools, Right Now" offers more than 300 products, publications, services and enhancements for free, at cost or at significantly reduced prices.
"There's a pressing need for REALTORS® to have easy access to NAR's powerful resources in today's market," said Keady. "The tools offered through this program can help REALTORS® expand business opportunities without adding expenses."
REALTORS® can take advantage of education and online training opportunities, access NAR publications and research, attend conventions and events, and obtain technology services for free or at a discount. For example, because buyer education is particularly important in today's market, REALTORS® will receive double quantities when they order the Home Buyer Toolkit, produced by the Real Estate Buyer's Agent Council. The toolkit, which is intended for use during buyer counseling sessions and home buyer workshops, is full of self-assessment tools, worksheets and checklists to help consumers understand the home buying process.
Among the many useful tools available to REALTORS® at no cost are eProduct versions of the 2007 and 2008 NAR Profile of Home Buyers and Sellers and the 2007 Profile of Buyer's Home Feature Preferences, as well as valuable information on short sales, foreclosures, business tips and marketing.
"This initiative will give REALTORS® an added advantage in today's market. While the current business environment can be challenging, there are also opportunities for success," said Keady, who is a REALTOR® with Alain Pinel Realtors in Palo Alto. "We want to make sure our members can take full advantage of all the resources and services available to them through their association membership, so REALTORS® can assist their clients in making the decision that is right for them."
