MLSListings Inc. Continues to Deliver Value Through Its Service Offerings

At Tuesday's Menlo Park/Atherton District's bi-monthly meeting, President and CEO of MLSListings Inc. Jim Harrison gave SILVAR members an overview of how MLSListings Inc. delivers value as an MLS through its service offerings.
Harrison introduced MLSListings' re-branding strategy involving the rollout of its new corporate story, focusing on customer-centricity as a dependable, innovative and trusted partner for real estate information services. Harrison then outlined a number of recent accomplishments achieved by MLSListings including:
- Successful, free reciprocal access and data share collaborations with multiple Northern and Southern MLSs, including the exciting news that the East Bay reciprocal access is moving closer to availability in March 2010.
- Introduction of a new, front-end search tool application called Matrix and a new statewide tax tool, Realist, which supplies statewide tax data information for 58 counties.
- Unveiling of technology platform migration plan/timeline from the existing Pro front-end search application to Matrix by early 2011.
- Partnership activities with the National Association of REALTORS® on its new REALTORS® ® Property ResourceTM national property database initiative. MLSListings provided preliminary MLS data for the RPR nationwide demos and was selected as one of 12 MLSs for beta-testing scheduled for March 2010.
- Launch of a new consumer-facing corporate Web site that has tripled in unique visitors since its October 2009 launch, translating into wider exposure for agent/broker listings.
- Strong 2009 performance indicators for the following groups:
- Education/Outreach: 98 percent increase in attendance; 64 percent increase in event participation; and the addition of seven new courses using a blended learning environment.
- Customer Service: Logged more than 96,000 phone calls in 2009 with an average call duration of 03:35. Weekly customer service performance surveys resulted in an overall satisfaction rate of 93.7 percent.
- Compliance: Handled more than 7,300 cases, resolving 97 percent of them; introduced a new Report-A-Listing feature.
- Successful completion of RETS 1.72 Certification, in compliance with NAR's Multiple Listing Issues & Policy standards in December 2009.
Harrison concluded his remarks with an overview on how MLSListings communicates its value through online (mlslistings.com and a new MLS browser toolbar) and social media (Facebook), as well as its Direct Connect, Broker Beat and Association Executive publications. Harrison noted each communication channel connects readers to the value of MLSListings service offerings as a "dependable, innovative and trusted partner for real estate information services."
