About 70 members of the Menlo Park/Atherton District celebrated the holidays and an end to a successful year at LB Steak in Menlo Park on Wednesday night. Members enjoyed a variety of hors d'oeuvres, wine and good company. District Chair David Barca was pleased with the turn out. He thanked the Menlo-Atherton District Council, members, and SILVAR staff.

"Thank you one and all for making our final event of the year a smashing success. We had a very good turnout and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves immensely," said Barca. "The food was excellent and the wine far from divine, but most acceptable nonetheless. Special thanks to all for promoting the event and special thanks to those who worked diligently on this for so many weeks, months really, especially Kathy Bosse, Bob Conway and our ace negotiator and decorator, and hostess, Davena Gentry. Fantastic job!!"

Barca also thanked SILVAR President Carolyn Miller, immediate Past President Suzanne Yost, and 2014 SILVAR President Dave Tonna for attending the event. "Knowing how hectic your schedules are, it was very nice of you to attend and spend the time. We are blessed with good leadership who are also such good people," said Barca.
