Los Gatos/Saratoga District Pumpkin Auction Raises $4,275 for Operation Reindeer
The Los Gatos/Saratoga District hosted another fun Pumpkin Auction this year with beautiful pumpkin displays and fall arrangements, many accompanied by prizes. Thanks to these generous donations from individual members and companies, and the active participation and generosity of members who bid on the items, the District earned $4,275 from Wednesday's event.
At the beginning of the event, Mary Kay Groth announced that proceeds from the event will go through the Family Giving Tree to Operation Reindeer, a program that distributes gifts, including clothing essentials, to needy families and seniors in the community during the holiday season. REALTORS® and affiliates of the Los Gatos/Saratoga District have supported the program for more than 20 years.
Operation Reindeer is funded by proceeds from the District's annual Pumpkin Auction and by individual donations from REALTORS® and affiliates. In addition to monetary contributions, many members volunteer their time to shop, wrap and distribute presents and food certificates to families.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to a very worthy cause, including Chris Morris (Alain Pinel Realtors), who served as auctioneer, and Mark Miano (Keller Williams Bay Area Estates), Ryan Nunnally (Alain Pinel Realtors) and District Chair Mark Von Kaenel (Keller Williams Bay Area Estates), who helped show off the many beautiful arrangements and prizes. A very special thanks to Diane Chandler (Alain Pinel Realtors), who made many of the beautiful arrangements and coordinated the event along with Barbara S. Werner (Keller Williams Bay Area Estates).
Along with the colorful and creative arrangements, prizes came in the form of San Francisco 49ers and San Jose Sharks tickets and apparel, bottles of wine, gift baskets, gift cards and gift certificates, including a two-night stay at the Los Gatos Toll House Hotel.
