Palo Alto District Celebrates Fall
Over 100 members attended SILVAR Palo Alto District's Annual Fall Fling at the Palo Alto Masonic Lodge Wednesday night. This year's event had a Halloween theme, with members dressed in costume and a booth for fun photos.
Palo Alto District Chair Robert Reid thanked everyone for coming to the District's annual event, which is a time when the Palo Alto District thanks members for their support, recognizes those who served on the current year's District Council, and introduces the following year's District Council. Fall Fling is also when the District invites members to get involved in District events and programs and sign up for a committee.
Members of this year's Palo Alto District Council and the committees they chair are Reid, District Chair; Jeff Beltramo, Past Chair and RSVP; Amy Sung, Chair-elect and LGR (Local Government Relations); Nadr Essabhoy, Broker/Manager; Larry Tringali, Affiliate; Bob Stelzer, Director At-large; and Joan Chintz, Social Events.
Members of the incoming District Council and the committees they will chair in 2016 are Amy Sung, District Chair and LGR; Robert Reid, Past Chair; Bob Gerlach, Broker/Manager; Nicole Aissa, Education; Sara Spang, Membership; Jimmy Kang, Affiliate; Kyle Else, Tour Policy and Sign Ordinance; and Jeff Beltramo, Elizabeth Elliott Maulick and Lisa Wittkopf, Members At-large. The following posts still need to be filled: Chair-elect, Tour Committee chair and Social Events Committee chair.
A highlight of this year's event was a costume contest, judged by SILVAR Executive Officer Paul Cardus and NAR Director and Chair of District Chairs John Tripp. Hands down, first place went to Sophie Ravel, who dressed as Nancy Sinatra; Jeff Beltramo, who came as Angus Young from AC/DC, second place; and Joan Chintz and Bob Heck, as the tooth fairy and tooth, third place.
