Members Enjoy 2nd Annual Joint District Bocce Ball Tournament

About 30 members from SILVAR's Menlo Park/Atherton and Palo Alto Districts took part in their second joint bocce ball tournament on Tuesday at Burton Park in San Carlos.
Brett Caviness, chair of the Menlo Park/Atherton District, said the second annual joint bocce ball tournament was another big success. He said players are already thinking about next year's match-ups.
"REALTORS® who play together, get paid together. As separate districts, Palo Alto and Menlo/ Atherton districts came together all in the name of developing our professional relationships, while having a little fun along the way. Fun was definitely had by all as we joined together to enjoy a beautiful afternoon raising money for the Charitable Foundation," said Caviness.
"An exceptionally fun event that brought together some of the finest REALTORS® and affiliates from multiple agencies. It was a great bonding experience. I would like to thank everyone who supported and helped us with this event," said Elizabeth Elliott Maulick, Social Events Committee chair for the Palo Alto District.
It was, indeed, ideal weather for a game of bocce. Members formed teams of two and played, with Joe Carcione serving as referee.
Congratulations to all the winners! First place went to Larry Tringali and Michael Colyer; second place, Brett Caviness and Lori Sharp; and third place, Penelope Huang and Omar Kinaan.
The districts raised $150 for the Silicon Valley REALTORS® Charitable Foundation from proceeds from their raffle. Winning Italian gift baskets and gift certificates were Jimmy Kang, Lisa Wittkopf, Cat Westover and Jeff Beltramo.
