Members of the Los Altos/Mountain View District raised $4,550 at their fourth annual pumpkin auction last Friday. The auction items, 11 in all, were donated by the local real estate companies and affiliates and came with big prizes.
District Chair Katherine Frey opened the auction by inviting each donor to give a description of their item and the prizes that came with it. Alain Pinel Realtors' "Haunted House with Eyes Everywhere" received the highest bid of $1,700 from Bill Lewis, broker manager of the Los Altos office. This item, which had a retail value of $2,000, included two home monitoring cameras, a video doorbell, home remote control, art sculpture a 3D virtual tour from TourFactory, a full-page color ad in Homes & Land magazine and a lighted gateway accessory.
Kimberly Cooper with Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage won the $800 bid for Catarra Real Estate's "Ultimate Wine & Dine Package," which included five days/four nights at the Wyndham Grandview in Las Vegas, three bottles of wine and a $200 gift certificate to Nora's Italian Cuisine in Vegas, a total value of $2,500.
David Kim with Intero Real Estate Services bid $650 for Coldwell Banker's "Scary Clown," which featured a clown headless body on a chair with a scary clown pumpkin head and a round of golf for a foursome at Palo Alto Hills Golf and Country Club, three bottles of wine, a gift basket of flavored popcorn, a gift card and raffle tickets benefitting CBRC Community Foundation.
Thank you to this year's generous donors: Alain Pinel Realtors, Catarra Real Estate, Coldwell Banker, Intero Real Estate Services, which donated "The Thriller, The Filler, The Spiller"; Sereno Group, "Bloomsters"; Millennium Design and Staging, display basket; On the Move, two pumpkin displays; Old Republic Home Protection, two gift baskets; and Campi Properties, "Under the Sea" with accommodations at Seascape Beach Resort, including gift shop and Sanderlings Restaurant and gift certificate to Palapas Restaurant.
The District thanks all members for supporting this year's event. Proceeds from the pumpkin auction will go to the Silicon Valley REALTORS® Charitable Foundation.
