Perfect Weather, Food and Fun at Cupertino-Sunnyvale District BBQ
Nearly 100 people attended Wednesday's BBQ in the Park, an event for all SILVAR members, hosted by SILVAR's Cupertino-Sunnyvale District at Blackberry Farm in Cupertino. The weather was perfect and the food, provided by Andy's Bar-B-Que, was enjoyed by all. Members even had the opportunity to win prizes in a drawing held later in the afternoon.
"A great time was had by all. This year's new venue was far superior than last year's. The weather was much better than last year, too. The food, which also had vegetarian options, was delicious, good wine, beer, soft drinks and water were available," said Jeff Bell, chair of the Cupertino-Sunnyvale District.
Bell conveyed his appreciation to members who organized the event. "Thanks to the affiliate sponsors for their help in set up and clean up, and for the prizes, and a special thank you to our District BBQ Co-Chairs Mary Combes and Janet Witkin. Without their leadership and the District Council's support, this couldn't have happened. We look forward to next year's being our biggest and best yet!" said Bell.
Su-Lan Wang, with Intero Real Estate Services, won a dinner for two at Galpao Gaucho's, donated by Kathy Cochran with PNC Mortgage. Sarah Choi, with Keller Williams Realty, won a Wine Passport donated by Jerry Star, with the Santa Cruz Winegrowers Association, and Flora Azimi, with Alain Pinel Realtors won a BBQ apron donated from Kyle Chuang, with Farmers' Insurance.
