Los Altos-Mountain View District Annual Pumpkin Auction Raises Over $4,500
The Los Altos-Mountain View District raised over $4,500 at the District's 7th Annual Pumpkin Auction last Friday. That amount could be higher, as the District continues to receive monetary donations from members after the event. Proceeds from the auction will go to the Silicon Valley REALTORS® Charitable Foundation.
District Chair Greg Boudreau served as this year's auctioneer and encouraged members to raise their paddles and bid generously. Beautiful pumpkin and fall centerpieces and arrangements with big prizes were donated by Coldwell Banker Residential Services, Sereno Group, Intero Real Estate Services, Sotheby's International Realty, Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, Old Republic Title and Old Republic Home Warranty. Prizes included gift certificates to the Los Altos Grill, Los Altos Gourmet Works, Scott's Seafood, Rustic House Oyster Bar & Grill, including a $500 gift card to Ciao Bella. There were bottles of wine, homemade bread and cakes, five car washes from Lozano's, and more. The top bid for Sotheby's International Realty's "Day at the Game" basket - a $900 value, which included two Club level tickets to the SF 49ers vs. AZ Cardinals game on November 17, a Yeti cooler, stainless steel travel cups, a micro-tech blanket, ales and cider, team globes, beanies football socks, went to Barbara Telesco Curley for $800.
At the end of the auction, Boudreau enticed members to participate in a paddle race and sought donations from members at different price levels. Those donations continue to roll in and the total amount raised may reach $5,000.
