Over 150 at REALTOR® DEI (Diversity, Equity & Inclusion) Alliance Winter Mixer
Over 150 real estate professionals attended the REALTOR® DEI (Diversity, Equity & Inclusion) Alliance Winter Mixer on Wednesday at Water Tower Kitchen in Campbell. This is the first event in a long time that has brought the Silicon Valley's diverse real estate associations together under one roof.
The winter mixer was held in collaboration with SILVAR, the Santa Clara County Association of REALTORS®, the Asian Real Estate Association of America Silicon Valley (AREAA SV), Filipino American Real Estate Professional Association Silicon Valley (FAREPA SV), Korean Association of Real Estate & Lenders of Northern California (KARL), LGBTQ+ Real Estate Alliance Silicon Valley, National Hispanic Organization of Real Estate Associates (NHORA), Vietnamese National Association of Real Estate Professionals (VNARP), and Women's Council of REALTORS® (WCR). The event was upbeat and also celebrated 2023 and kicked off 2024.
In addition to the leadership of all the participating associations, among the special guests at the event was San Jose Mayor Matt Mahen, who welcomed the real estate professionals and spoke on the importance of coming together as one family in support of homeownership for all.
"Last night was a huge success, bringing all the area diversity groups together, as well as collaborating with the DEI committees at both SILVAR and SCCAOR. The event was over capacity with so many wanting to do it again next year," said Tammie Peters, SILVAR DEI chair. "The most exciting guest in attendance was San Jose Mayor Matt Mahen who pledged his support. I am grateful to each and every person that participated."
