The holiday spirit surrounded members literally and figurately at today's Los Altos-Mountain View District Holiday Breakfast as the Mountain View High School Madrigals sang their repertoire of beautiful holiday and other contemporary songs for them.
The group of about 40 high school students sang under direction of longtime choir director Jill Denny. Their repertoire of songs included "Little Drummer Boy," "Jingle Bells," "It's a Wonderful Life," "Over the Rainbow," "Butterfly," "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas," and much more.
Denny announced that the Madrigals are planning an educational trip to Indonesia and selling CDs that contains their songs in order to raise funds for the trip. The District has donated $1,500 to the Madrigals. If you would like to donate to the MVHS Choir, view photos below and click on the QR code on the photo of the CD cover.
District Chair Patti Robison and past district chair Frey thanked everyone for supporting the district, particularly this year's council members: They include Frey, Tori Atwell, Richard McCaffrey, Sue Myers, Shab Nemati, Carlos Padilla, John Souza and Denise Wesh,
Over 100 members attended the event held at the Fremont Hills Country Club in Los Altos Hills.
