SILVAR congratulates FAREPA SV 2024-2025 leadership team

The Silicon Valley Association of Realtors joined the real estate community in congratulating 2024-2025 Filipino American Real Estate Professional Association Silicon Valley (FAREPA SV) President Tigran Bakchagyan, board of directors and advisors at the association's installation gala on Aug. 22. California Department of Real Estate Commissioner Chika Sunquist administered the oath of office to the new leadership team.
Bakchagyan is a lifelong Bay Area resident and a Realtor at Keller Williams Silicon City. Joining Bakchagyan as part of the executive board are Robert Balina, a Realtor with Synergize Realty Property Management, vice president; LJ Grossweiler, program manager at Patelco Credit Union Home Loans, secretary; and Anna Truong Lopez, treasurer.
The 2024-2025 board includes directors Cheryl Javier (CBC Realty), Dan Ramas (Keller Williams Silicon City), Dorotea Tuzon (State Farm Insurance), Mark Taylan (360 Advisors), and advisors Anne O. Ramirez (Dominium Realtor), immediate past president and Dexter Lat (Realty World One Alliance).
Addressing FAREPA members and guests, Bakchagyan explained that "Crossroads and Culture," the theme of the gala, "celebrates the unity and diversity that define FAREPA. As we gather to embrace our unique identities and shared goals, we are reminded of the vital role each of you plays in our mission."
Bakchagyan said he is truly honored to serve as the president of FAREPA SV. He was encouraged to join the organization and being a "non-Filipino rookie agent," he was pleasantly surprised that FAREPA members embraced him and he, too, embraced the association.
"Through the support and connections within FAREPA, I found my place and my voice. … The experiences and opportunities I gained as an active member have been invaluable. I discovered that FAREPA is more than just an association; it is a family. A family that thrives on diversity, mutual support, and a shared commitment to professional and personal growth," said Bakchagyan.
In his message to members and guests, Bakchagyan stated, "As President I look forward to working with you all to improve the lives of our members and to leave a strong foundation for future boards to thrive. Together we will remain a unified voice through education, networking and partnerships."
Representing SILVAR at the event were Board Directors Suzanne Yost and Sunita Merchia. FAREPA also recognized SILVAR for its steadfast support.
"Congratulations on your upcoming year as President and to your Board of Directors. SILVAR wishes you and FAREPA a successful year supporting your members," Yost told Bakchagyan. "Thank you for recognizing SILVAR's long-standing support for FAREPA. We are proud to serve as a resource for your members."
FAREPA was established in 2002 with the mission to empower Filipino American real estate professionals by enhancing professionalism and unity within the industry and promoting the interests of Filipino American real estate professional globally through education, networking and partnerships while creating a unified voice within the real estate industry.
In collaboration with other associations, FAREPA has been recognized by the National Association of Realtors and California Association of Realtors for uniting minority groups of real estate professionals and for its work with underserved communities and minority homebuyers and sellers.
