KW Ball Breakers Win Again at 13th Annual Bocce Ball Tournament
Congratulations to the KW Ball Breakers, champions of the 13th Annual Los Gatos-Saratoga District Bocce Ball Tournament! The team included Ryan Nunnally, captain, and team members Javier Ruano, Ken Roberts, Joey Travis, Joseph Karakas, and Chuck Nunnally, with alternates Mark Miano and Joe Han.
Sereno - The Closers came in second with Mark Thomas, captain, and team members Kimberley Bellotti, Josh Pulpan, Juliane Mette, Roxy Laufer, and Andrea Sargis, with alternate Scott Hetrick.
Thomas said, "Given the extremely fast courts and tough competition, I am extremely proud of how our team performed. Next year we will build off of this experience and bring home the trophy!"
The Ball Breakers were thrilled that they were able to defend the championship title, having won the last four years as well.
"Another great tournament," said Nunnally. "Win or lose, this has always been such a great event. There were a lot of tough competitors this year. We are excited to bring home the trophy another year!"
2026 SILVAR President Stacey Woods expressed her gratitude for the event's turnout. About 150 attendees came to the event, including team participants and spectators.
"The annual Bocce Ball Tournament showcases the best of our membership," said Woods. "Coming together to support a great cause while enjoying some heated competition on the court!"
Los Gatos-Saratoga District Chair Mark Miano said, "On behalf of the Los Gatos-Saratoga District, thank you to all the teams and individuals who came to support this year's Bocce Ball Tournament. Your energy and sportsmanship made the event fun and successful! Thank you for coming together for a day of camaraderie and competition, and most of all for supporting the Charitable Foundation."
A total of eight teams played this year. In addition to the KW Ball Breakers and Sereno - The Closers, other worthy contending teams and their captains were: Compass - House of Champions (George Montanari), The Agency Red (Jeff Barnett), The Real Bocce Experts (Audrey Carlos Quiggins), CB BankRollers (Brad Bell), Montalvo Sons-a-Bocces (Ismar Maslic), and eXp Rolling In Commissions (Tracey McNeely).
Net proceeds from the event will go to the Silicon Valley REALTORS® Charitable Foundation.
