Los Gatos/Saratoga District Holds Holiday Gala and Passing of the Gavel

To the tunes of Dean Martin sung by a Dean Martin look-alike, members of SILVAR's Los Gatos/Saratoga District celebrated their Holiday Gala and passing of the gavel from 2009 District Chair Ian Macrae to 2010 District Chair Bill Rehbock last Thursday, December 10, at the Toll House Hotel in Los Gatos.
2009 District Chair Ian Macrae thanked everyone for attending the event, which was sold-out. He then recognized members of this year's District Council and other members who helped with events throughout the year. In addition to Macrae and Rehbock, the 2009 District Council members are Richard White, Doug Evans, Dennis Byron, Affiliate Chair Laura Peterson, David Tonna, Jay Humes and John Tripp.
The highlight of the evening was the passing of the gavel to Rehbock. With past chairs of the Los Gatos/Saratoga District present - Brian Crane, Dave Tonna, Dennis Byron, Dave Walsh, Jeff Barnett, Marlene Rodman, John Tripp, Ian Macrae, and including 1970 Los Gatos/Saratoga Board of REALTORS® President Miles Rankin, the gavel was ceremoniously passed on to Rehbock.
Rehbock recognized and thanked Macrae for his work this year. He said he looks forward to 2010 and asked members to continue to support the district and council.
Also present at the event was 2009 SILVAR President Julia Keady, who also thanked Macrae and the District Council for their volunteerism and excellent service to the district this year.
