Mahalo is successful at SILVAR
Approximately 400 SILVAR Realtors and Affiliates gathered together at the parking lot of SILVAR's office in Cupertino on Thursday, June 1 for SILVAR's Mahalo party. The event, set in a Hawaiian theme, was organized to thank members for their support. It was the first time members from all districts gathered together at SILVAR.
The great weather, the food, music, games and other entertainment made the party a great success, according to members and organizers. SILVAR District Chair Josie Gambera said, "We were pleased to see a broad spectrum of members there, from longtime members to our new SILVAR members. It was the first time members from all districts had gathered together at SILVAR. We had never done it before, so we didn't know what to expect, but it turned out great!"
Lan Rupf (Keller Williams, Cupertino) said, "I came, but didn't expect to stay long. I stayed till nearly the end because it was so much fun."
Eric She (Wells Fargo, Palo Alto) remarked, "It was a great party with good food and entertainment."
SILVAR members said they welcomed the opportunity for them to meet other members.
"Did we enjoy the party? One huge, huge yes! It was tres bien!," exclaimed Stan Carnekie (The Loan Source, Los Gatos), as Hank O'Hara (Zip Realty, Menlo Park) and Bill Challas (The Loan Source Inc., Los Gatos) in agreement. "The food was great, the people were wonderful, the band was great. There were talented dancers. I especially liked Brian Bernasconi's liberal attitude. He did a fantastic job getting people involved."
Bernasconi (Alain Pinel Realtors, Los Gatos) and Toby Vanderbeek (Intero Real Estate, Los Altos) hosted the event, which featured a Tahitian dancer, a hula dance by Realtors and Affiliates and a hula hoop contest.
Gambera said," The party gave SILVAR Realtors and Affiliates the opportunity to mix and get to know one another. It was a good opportunity to build a stronger membership base and communicate with one another. It was a true member benefit, with no sponsorships or contributions, and free to all SILVAR members. We're happy we had a great showing."
