Cupertino, CA - Nominations for the 44th Annual Silicon Valley Association of REALTORS® (SILVAR) Community Service Award (CSA) for the Los Altos/Mountain View District are now being accepted. The CSA Award recipient and sponsor will be honored at the annual awards luncheon, which will be held this year on Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2007 at Michael's at Shoreline in Mountain View.
SILVAR's Los Altos/Mountain View District will be honoring the individual whose service exemplifies the spirit of volunteerism in Los Altos, Los Altos Hills or Mountain View. Last year's recipient was longtime Los Altos resident and volunteer Mike Abrams.
Abrams, who was nominated by the Los Altos Cultural Association, has served as PTSA president at Santa Rita School in Los Altos, as a member and president of the Los Altos Educational Foundation, and participated in fundraising for the El Camino YMCA, Mountain View and Los Altos high schools.
Nominations are open to the public. Nominees for the award shall have volunteered to enhance the quality, spirit and character of the communities in the Los Altos/Mountain View District. They cannot be a member of SILVAR and they cannot receive a salary for their community contributions. Nominations must be submitted to the Silicon Valley Association of REALTORS®, Attn: Kelly Dadsetan, 19400 Stevens Creek Blvd., Suite 100, Cupertino, CA 95014 no later than Aug. 10.
