Cupertino, CA - Due to the severity of the COVID-19 outbreak and the resulting statewide Stay at Home order and countywide Shelter in Place orders, the office of the Silicon Valley Association of REALTORS®(SILVAR)in Cupertino will remain closed and all District Broker tour, marketing, committee and other meetings, live education and training, new member orientation, and networking events will continue to be paused until further notice.
SILVAR staff is working remotely and will strive to serve its members as best it can. Members can email membership@silvar.org for assistance.
"SILVAR's primary concern is the health of its members and staff. Social distancing is essential to mitigate the spread of the virus, so in accordance to the guidance issued by the California Association of REALTORS® (C.A.R.), REALTORS® should cease doing all face-to-face marketing or sales activities, including showings, listing appointments, open houses and property inspections," said SILVAR Executive Officer Paul Cardus, Executive Officer.
Members are encouraged to take advantage of on-demand videos and webinar classes offered by MLSListings Inc. Visit the MLSListings site at www.pro.mlslistings.com to register for any upcoming webinar class and view MLS updates.
Cardus said this is also a good time for REALTOR® members to take the C.AR. 45-hour Online CE Courses for License Renewal. The 45 FREE continuing education credits are part of C.A.R.'s Member Benefits. All packages meet Department of Real Estate requirements for mandatory subjects and course categories. All packages also include an ethics course that fulfills the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) REALTOR® Code of Ethics Training Requirement. Visit www.car.org for more information.
