Jobs and the housing market will be two of the most important issues for voters in the 2012 election, according to findings of a recent survey conducted by HouseLogic.com, the consumer website from the National Association of REALTORS®. Nearly one-third of respondents said housing will be the top issue on their minds when they head to the polls next November. The HouseLogic survey shows Americans understand that a housing recovery is essential to the nation's economic recovery, and many of those housing-related issues will be on the minds of voters in 2012, according to REALTOR® officials.

REALTOR®: November home sales and median price see statewide increase

California home sales rose on a monthly and annual basis in November, according to the latest California Association of REALTORS® report. It is the fifth consecutive month that sales increased year-to-year. The data for high-cost areas like Santa Clara County did not mirror the state's positive trend, a sign that the lowering of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac conforming loan limits could be negatively impacting sales.

The beautiful voices of the Mountain View High School Madrigal Singers echoed through the breakfast room and hallways of the Los Altos Hills Golf & Country Club, where members of the Silicon Valley Association of REALTORS®' Los Altos/Mountain View District gathered to celebrate the holidays on December 9. Each year, the Madrigal Singers entertain members of the local REALTOR® district, singing holiday songs in a capella and chorus. Their performance is one of the highlights of the REALTORS®' annual holiday breakfast. It is at this special breakfast that REALTORS® set aside the time to thank their volunteers, and at the same time give back to the community during the holidays.
