Silicon Valley Association of REALTORS® Receives NAR Platinum Award for Global Program

Cupertino, CA. - At the 2013 REALTORS® Conference & Expo over the weekend, the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) recognized the Silicon Valley Association of REALTORS® (SILVAR) with a platinum award for its 2013 Global Business Council Achievement Program. The local trade association was one a number of groups to be honored as Silver, Gold, and Platinum Councils.

Silicon Valley REALTORS® Charitable Foundation Presents 2013 Scholarship Awards to 18 Graduating High School Seniors

Cupertino, CA - The Silicon Valley REALTORS® Charitable Foundation, the charitable arm of the Silicon Valley Association of REALTORS®, presented scholarship awards to 18 graduating seniors from public high schools in Silicon Valley at the end of the 2012-2013 school year. Each student received a $1,000 scholarship.

REALTORS® WILL ASSIST SENIORS WITH HOUSEHOLD TASKS May 6-10

Cupertino, CA -- For senior homeowners or renters who are physically or financially challenged, tasks like replacing smoke detector batteries, flipping a mattress or washing windows can be a major chore. Seniors and the homebound residing on the Peninsula and in the South Bay may request free assistance with these household tasks through the REALTOR® Service Volunteer Program (RSVP) during the week of May 6-10. The deadline for seniors to apply for assistance is Friday, March 15.

The Charitable Foundation is a trust which makes grants available to organizations from donations by members of the Silicon Valley Association of REALTORS®.
