The Silicon Valley Association of REALTORS® Global Business Council (SILVAR GBC) was presented the DIAMOND Global Achievement Program Award for 2018 by the National Association of REALTORS® at the Nov. 2-5 REALTORS® Conference & EXPO in Boston. SILVAR President Bill Moody and Executive Officer Paul Cardus accepted the award on behalf of the GBC from NAR Global Business and Alliances Committee Chair Mario Arriaga during the International Night Out dinner on Nov. 3.

Cupertino, CA - The Silicon Valley REALTORS® Charitable Foundation, the charitable arm of the Silicon Valley Association of REALTORS® (SILVAR), presented scholarship awards to 18 graduating seniors from public high schools in Silicon Valley at the end of the 2017-2018 school year. Each student received a $1,000 scholarship.

Cupertino, CA - Looking to foster investment opportunities between real estate stakeholders in the Philippines and the U.S., the Filipino American Real Estate Professional Association Silicon Valley chapter is organizing a trade mission to the Philippines on June 16-29. The trade mission will take participants to Manila, the country's capital, to the island of Palawan, which has the best beaches in the world, and to Vigan, a city known for its preserved Spanish colonial and Asian architecture.

Cupertino, CA – The Silicon Valley Association of REALTORS® (SILVAR) 2018 leadership was installed Jan. 25 at Palo Alto Hills Golf & Country Club. California Association of REALTORS® (C.A.R.) 2013 President Don Faught administered the oath of office to SILVAR 2018 President Bill Moody and the 2018 officers and board directors. C.A.R. 2005 President Jim Hamilton served as master of ceremonies. Board Director Jeff Bell led everyone in the Pledge of Allegiance, and SILVAR treasurer and C.A.R. Director for Life Phyllis Carmichael delivered the inspiration message.

Cupertino, CA -- The 19th annual Silicon Valley REALTORS® Scholars Program for graduating seniors from 18 public high schools in Silicon Valley is under way. The scholars program is sponsored by the Charitable Foundation Trust of the Silicon Valley Association of REALTORS® (SILVAR), a professional trade organization representing over 5,000 REALTORS® and affiliate members engaged in the real estate business on the Peninsula and in the South Bay.

The Silicon Valley REALTORS® Charitable Foundation donated $49,203 in 2017 to non-profit organizations that help homeless and low-income individuals and families in Silicon Valley. Funds this year also went to scholarships for graduating seniors from public high schools in the region. This was also the first year funds were disbursed from The John Tripp Silicon Valley Realtors Veterans Scholarship Endowment to a student at Foothill College and at DeAnza College, with each student receiving $500.
